Protection of personal information
GROUPECHO CANADA, through its alliance with TransUnion, respects all Provincial and Federal laws regarding the protection of personal information. GROUPECHO CANADA mainly collects and keeps credit information on businesses, but this information can include or be related to the owners, administrators or officers, consequently include information qualified as personal.

All of GROUPECHO CANADA's products and services are measured against strict privacy protocols and are intended to enhance trust and faith in the system by the consumer and our customers.

Each of our employees has signed a confidentiality agreement. GROUPECHO CANADA bases its policies and operations on the highest ethical standards of the industry.

Prevention of unauthorized access to its database
Security is part of our industry. We use various security control levels ensuring the prevention of illegal access in our databases.

Any confidential information is encrypted using the https protocol and SSL 128 bits, which is the most secure encryption level available. Secure access to data is ensured at many levels, notably by the use of usernames and passwords.

It's our customer's responsibility to maintain an updated list of its account users to prevent any unauthorized access, consequently generating undesired transactions on their account.

Responsibilities
The content and the source of information supplied by GROUPECHO CANADA cannot be disclosed, reproduced or revealed in whole or in part to anyone in any manner or form. This information is submitted to its customer following his request and must be used for the sole purpose of the customer's normal business dealings. Because of the large number of sources from whom GROUPECHO CANADA obtains the information and over which it has no control, GROUPECHO CANADA cannot guarantee the accuracy of the information received. Therefore, the use of the information is restricted, remains the customer's entire responsibility and commits the customer to guarantee GROUPECHO CANADA without condition or restriction. Any anomaly in the content of this information must be reported immediately in writing to GROUPECHO CANADA.

It is agreed that, following each of the customer's decisions to grant credit, the risks involved are the sole responsibility of the customer and that by supplying the information, GROUPECHO CANADA shall not and will not be held accountable for these risks, of any nature they might be. Consequently, GROUPECHO CANADA will not be held responsible for any loss or damage imputable in part or in whole, caused by an omission or perpetration by neglect from its part or its managing personnel, representatives or employees, by unforeseen events independent of GROUPECHO CANADA's control, to provide, gather, collect, interpret, record, communicate or transmit the information.

The supplier guarantees he has obtained the subject's information disclosure authorization. GROUPECHO CANADA as a credit bureau representing the supplier is authorized to obtain any credit information during the term of the contract. A copy of the disclosure authorization is available anytime, upon request.
